This design is one close to my heart. The ʻāpapa is a place I come to re-center amd reconnect. 2022 is proclaimed the year of limu and as I work to design and share stories of the limu of Kauaʻi, I must first highlight the importance of its foundation, the ʻāpapa. Any piece that bears the ʻāpapa design is meant to carry values of steadfastness, remaining grounded, unshakable to the onslaught of waves and tides.
